Sirius Integrator is announcing a new multi-stage Bluemoon FST-FCG Propane & Natural Gas filter system for use with dc generators and for resale in North America. When the propane and natural gas fuel is filtered it burns hotter & cleaner with fewer pollutants in the exhaust.
All gases or liquids travel in a wave action (either in a tank or fuel line), as they travel the wave picks up contaminants such as mill scale, brown or black dust, oils (heavy oils), etc., and carries them through the wave motion, then depositing it at the bottom of the wave. Then picking up the next amount of contaminants and repeating the process again. This is how contaminants move through a stationary tank or fuel line.
The engine on the generator is built to be efficient which means that the seat tolerances are very tight (2 micron or less), and since the equipment (most likely) will not run 24/7, you want to make sure that contaminants do not build up on those seats. By having an FST-FCG filter on the equipment you help to eliminate this problem.
Natural gas and LPG both have oils (molecules) suspended in the fuel, contaminants will attach to these oil molecules, when equipment is shut down these oily contaminants stay in the system where they are at. Even when the equipment starts again the contaminants may not move and other oily contaminants will attach to the first one. As they get bigger they may break off, settling between seats, components, and causing engine problems.
The FST-FCG, will be able to filter 1000 gallons of propane or natural gas. That could mean changing this filter once every 2 or 3 years. Can be mounted either vertically or horizontally. If you do not change your FST-FCG filter at least every 18 months, to keep an extra filter on hand.

The SiriusPower 1295w electric autostart & autocharge, Propane & Natural Gas DC Generator is smart and efficient. We could provide a 12v 120amp or 24v 45amp model of this air cooled subaru engine based dc generator. With sure high amps delivered we could recharge large battery banks quickly using less fuel. In remote locations the system will start up and shut off based on the battery bank's voltage level automatically. This system is not a fuel cell, it is an intelligent off-grid dc generator that is outdoor ready with optional hot climate or cold weather package. The system dimensions are 20"L x 20"W x 20"H. It's noise level at 100% Load is 74dBa @ 7M and at 50% Load is 64dBa @ 7M. It provides remote monitoring via a RS485 interface.

Fuel Consumption: Published fuel consumption values are calculated at a 75% load. The DC generator loads taper off to < 20% load when batteries are recharged to > 85% of full charge. A typical 1 hour charge cycle may average a 50% load which will differ slightly depending on for the type of battery, battery size, and battery state of charge when the recharge cycle begins.

Hybrid remote power systems include solar, battery, and fuel cell components to minimize site visits and maximizes the reliability of off-grid power. In most cases, if solar can be used, we promote the use of solar modules as 'range extenders' coupled with fuel cell battery chargers and our customer's battery banks to reduce fuel use and increase fuel cell lifetimes. For covert surveillance applications, where solar power can't be used, we use standalone fuel cell solutions for mission & data critical applications. Data critical refers to both narrow and broadband data or video where our customers can't afford downtime and data loss. Many times data loss equates to reduced security and law enforcement experiencing lost video surveillance. During certain months of the year reliable solar power generation could be a problem in specific states like AK, Portland, etc so fuel cell battery chargers provide the reliable on-demand power needed to keep application devices running unattended for months at a time without maintenance associated with these configurations. Longer application runtimes in remote off-grid locations mean less travel expenses and a lower TCO.

For just under six years Methanol fuel based fuel cells have been our only option for providing reliable off-grid power to our customers. Over the last year Sirius Integrator has launched the newest Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Systems (SOFCs) available for purchase and our new Remote Power-as-a-Service (RPaaS) rentals. The newest is the Protonex P200i, 200w Propane Solid Oxide tubular Fuel Cell (seen above running in New England's harsh -20c 2015 winter), it services loads typically from 50w to 200w and is made in the United States. We've also been marketing the SiriusPower 350w and 500w (indoor or outdoor ready) propane and natural gas planar SOFC systems that are German made. Interest is very high in using locally supplied propane and natural gas as a fuel for remote power solutions in the field due to the transportation and acquisition costs of methanol. Still each type of fuel cell has it's strengths and weaknesses and we will review them with you.

Sirius Integrator has been marketing and manufacturing off-grid power solutions for over six years now with hundreds of deployments across North America. Off-grid Power can be 'backup power to the grid', 'backup to off-grid solar', or continuous primary power. Typically the industrial applications we power are under 500w of continuous wattage and use either 12v, 24v, or 48v battery banks. Many applications are found off-grid in remote locations where grid access is not available and solar power is unreliable across selected months of the year. Some deployments are mobile, others portable, but most are located at stationary sites. They could be in hot, windy, very cold or just normal outdoor environments and in all cases we need to ensure that enclosures are properly setup for successful fuel cell deployments. We've deployed standalone fuel cell solutions as well as solar & wind hybrid configurations in the US and Canada. In most cases a hybrid of a solar panel and fuel cell makes sense, if the application is not covert in nature.
